I lived in Baton Rouge for 7 years, and I currently live in Houma…and I must say that I think this study is completely accurate. I’m so happy with my family, my friends, my job…I could go on and on. When I visit other US cities and I feel like an outsider, when I don’t understand the unwritten rules (looking at you Denver), I need to remind myself of this.

I just booked flights for us to go and visit my brother in DC later this month! I visited way back in the 90s on an 8th grade class trip (when you could still tour the white house without permission from your Senator or whatever). I’m really excited to go back as an adult and be able to do what I want and not be on a tour bus. And Jeff has never been, so he’s in for a treat! And I miss my baby brother! He’s been living in Virginia for grad school for the past year, and interning in Baltimore this summer.

Also, kid free!

If anyone has restaurant or bar suggestions, please send them my way!
