Mickey Shunick is a 22-year-old girl from Lafayette, Louisiana who went missing on Saturday, 5/19/12. She left a friend’s home on her bicycle at around 2 a.m., but disappeared somewhere in the 4 miles between her friend’s home and her own. She has literally vanished without a trace, and her family, friends, and the community of Lafayette are exhausting every effort to find Mickey and bring her home.
To all of my tumblr followers, please re-blog this post so that the story and her pictures can get out across the country. She’s been missing for 6 days now, so she could literally be anywhere.

Just snagged tickets to see the lovely Norah Jones perform in New Orleans this October! I am so thrilled to FINALLY get to see her live. I’ve loved her for years, and the stars just never aligned for me to attend a show.

I am late to the party on this, because I am a month behind on my DVR and I just got to the Whitney Houston episode last night…but the glee kids nailed it on this cover of How Will I Know.
Listening to it on repeat at my desk today.
Currently hoarding all my cash so I can buy one of these by the end of the summer. I’m still in research mode, but from the looks of it, this camera seems like the route to take for someone who is not a photographer but would like to be able to take really pretty pictures.
Pretty pictures for dummies, maybe?
Anybody out there have any expert advice/opinions about the Nikon 1 system? Is this a good first step for someone like me, who has only ever used a point and shoot or a cell phone?
